FileCheckMD5 is a Windows GUI based small application that can recursively calculate MD5 checksum values for all files in a folder and its subfolder(s). It generates a md5 file (FCMD5-sums.MD5) which stores the MD5 value for each file scanned. FileCheckMD5 also provides a tool to verify MD5 values in the generated checkfile. This feature makes FileCheckMD5 very useful in data integrity check for multiple file copies such as CD burning.

For example, when burning a CD and you want to make sure that no file is corrupted during the burning process, you can use FileCheckMD5 to test each file on the CD against the checkfile which can be generated by FileCheckMD5.

FileCheckMD5 does not come with an installer. Just put the FileCheckMD5.exe file where you need it and run it from there.
